West Yellowstone Lodging with a Historic Charm

Built in 1931 by Ernest Wilson and originally called, the Evergreen Auto Court, our historic motel has been a part of West Yellowstone lodging history for almost 100 years! Tucked away in a forested corner of what was first known simply as, Yellowstone, the Evergreen Auto Court offered modern cabins and a wing of cinderblock rooms.

“Lucky” Jim Baldwin set our standard in 1945, by recognizing that providing great service would set him apart from the rest. Although the Evergreen has had cosmetic changes throughout the decades, we operate the motel with this very same standard. We invite you to enjoy West Yellowstone lodging at its best in our comfortable, charming motel.

About Us

Small Size, Big Hospitality!

We are a small, single story, owner operated motel with 17 units. Despite our small size, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent option for West Yellowstone lodging. Our property is all non-smoking and pets are not allowed at this time.

We have exterior entrances to all of our units and true to the original Evergreen Court, we offer convenient parking right in front of your room. Our rooms are the same size as originally built in 1931 and have not changed since then. Because of the historic nature, our rooms are smaller than the standard motel room, and we are unable to offer cots, rollaway or cribs. “This motel is just outside Yellowstone National Park and offers a substantial savings over the in-park lodges. The room was clean and comfortable with rustic log furniture. Check-in went smoothly, staff was friendly and helpful. We were given a folder listing area restaurants, a town map and Yellowstone info. A cute personalized handwritten welcome card awaited us in our room, along with complimentary bottled water. The motel is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!”
